Jef Raskin’s revolutionary interface is a text editor that displays special characters for spaces and tabs when the cursor is over them, and has a vi-like Mozilla-like basically-Unix-like functionality to search text? Whoa. How revolutionary. You know, when they said most of the Mac’s interface was pretty much stolen from research at Xerox’s PARC, I think they may have been right. All they need now is someone else to borrow ideas from. Might be a good thing Raskin doesn’t work for Apple anymore… |
