Buy DRM-free songs from the iTunes Music Store (post seems to have disappeared) : “Seems that our good friend discovered that when you buy something from the [iTunes Music Store], the DRM is only added to the tracks after you’ve purchased and downloaded them, which sort of makes sense since they do need to be tagged to your account.
How on Earth does it “make sense” for iTMS to send the files DRM-free and have the client side process them? If that’s true it’s just immensely stupid. Or at least lazy. Or some Apple engineers just meant to screw the RIAA.
