Inside Apple, we used to call something like this a ”turd”. For many years, we aimed for this goal: ”No turds.”
Every single time macOS installs an update, I get this folder on my Desktop.
Minor bug, sure. But it’s incredibly sad to realize someone at Apple saw this and took the lazy path, passing the buck and not sweating the details. A lack of care and focus.
Steve would have noticed.
