Tesla pledges its patents open
Wow. I can’t imagine Musk isn’t gonna regret — or recant — this. I’m afraid it’s not gonna improve EV adoption rate significantly — it’s just gonna bite Tesla in the ass when EVs are finally popular.
All Our Patent Are Belong To You
Yesterday, there was a wall of Tesla patents in the lobby of our Palo Alto headquarters. That is no longer the case. They have been removed, in the spirit of the open source movement, for the advancement of electric vehicle technology.
