Nokia Lifeblog. Nice interface for managing your photo memories.
Forced to remove WindowBlinds, that’s what’s been lagging for weeks. Grr.
StyleXP a l’air de bien marcher. I can understand why WindowBlinds grew is less fashionable these days.
ZMatrix. It’s hardly new, but now my video card allows me to enjoy it.
I thought I had found the solution to import my Eudora mail into Opera, but it doesn’t work.
RSS Bandit. Not very cleanly programmed (the interface lags for no reason), but the most functional of the many I tested.
Nevermind the dysfunctional Bloggerbot: Hello is pretty nice and well designed for its intended purpose.
If I don’t find a workaround, bye bye my pretty PNG icons. That’s not good, because the taskbar is on the left edge of my desktop, and any edge is too far anyway when you’re running 3840x1024.
P.S. It also seems that ObjectDock makes games slow. (Which I never realized because I harly ever play.) I was surprised how slow Pristontale was on my high-end and -price video card; I’ll have to do some testing.
P.S. As chance would have it, it looks like ObjectDock 1.02, which was just released today1 fixes those bugs. Pristontale is much prettier in high resolution an with details at the maximum. And much more pleasant when the camera instaneously reacts to the mouse moves. Hurray for my Matrox card. (Well, except for not being able to visit There again before it closes, because the beast is so poorly programmed it only works with half a dozen different video cards.)
1: When you read it this way, it looks like a weird coincidence, the kind of sign I liked to find at a time when I was looking for some, but it isn’t. I only found out about those incompatibilities as I was looking for information about version 1.02, which wasn’t advertised anywhere on Stardock on Wincustomize.
“Smart” digital zoom. I never understood why all digicams didn’t work that way.
Firefox 0.9.1. I did say it wasn’t ready.
Really Slick Screensavers. Imagine that on a triple display: classy.
Dashboard vs. Konfabulator. HTML widgets, sounds promising.
