Hi! My name is Cédric Bozzi, I make websites and iOS apps, and this is my blog about technology (mostly a Twitter archive, really).

The webOS that never was

Those sliding panels look ugly but could have been a great multitasking implementation.

Backblaze’s OS X client is a million times better than CrashPlan’s, but the initial backup seems a lot slower.

On dirait presque que la box se met automatiquement en panne quand on uploade trop. Ca tombe mal, je teste un nouveau backup en ligne.

How a Mechanical Watch Works

For historical purposes. This was all invented without computers. Four centuries ago.

Unlock my iPad, spend a minute swiping away previous notifications so I can reach the goddamn titlebar button I want to tap.

Come on, Twitter. I didn’t even start the DM conversation and you’re preventing me from sending an URL, ten messages in?

@mrgan:

Pandora is, ironically, the only Top Grossing iPhone app that has not unleashed evil upon the world.

Yummy FTP is faster, less buggy, less over-designed than Transmit, and does what I need (upload website files where they belong). Switched!

@mattcomi:

Whenever any sound in any context becomes suddenly quiet, I think I’m about to receive a phone call.

La connexion semble ne plus sauter depuis que j’ai limité l’upload Backblaze à 128 kbps. C’est bien la peine d’avoir la fibre.

Only realizing now that Numbers’ Layout View is gone, and doesn’t that nullify the entire point of the app? (For anyone who ever prints.)

The only reason I’m not ordering a Pebble is I’m waiting for Apple’s watch. They’re losing sales to unannounced vaporware. All kinds of sad.

Another account-hijack story

We live in an internet-based economy; we can’t keep going on like this.

But then, identity theft is a national sport in the US, so how could we ever hope to avoid it on the internet?
