I hope Instagram’s algorithm is good at realizing I’m not necessarily interested in the same people’s stories as photos.
Snapchat could make marker-based AR work - Snapchat has the reach and Snapcodes are already a core part of the experience
So funny thinking back to those articles about the value of willfully bad UX design now that Instagram drinks Snapchat’s milkshake.
It surprises even me how much I’m diving into Stories now that they’re available in a user-friendly app.
I think I understand the lack of Like button in Stories, but they sorely need a lower-friction feedback avenue than full-on DMs.
Or maybe Instagram’s inbox (which nobody cares about anyway, right?) just naturally becomes a — mostly ignored — thread of emoji reactions.
What do you do when you’re only a medium-grade narcissist, and you want to know your daily view counts but not rewatch your whole damn Story three times a day?
J’ai envie de me donner une vraie chance à Snapchat Stories pour comparer avec Instagram mais je n’ai visiblement pas les numéros de téléphone de 90% de mes contacts (ou ils n’utilisent pas Snapchat).
Ugh, the video capture hack used by Instagram Stories and Snapchat makes them really bad ay night photography [at least on iPhone 6]. (Edit: Oops, Snapchat has a night mode. Instagram doesn’t seem to.)
Installed iOS 10 on iPad. Lock screen clock is flush left in landscape but remains centered in portrait. Both of these choices sadden me.
Still no UI in iOS 10 for managing Game Center friends? That’s a Facebook level of abandoning developers you got to rely on you.
Also I miss the Apple Pencil.
Click twice to unlock without Touch ID, extra tap to use actionable notifications without 3D Touch… iOS 10 isn’t friendly to older devices.
OMG the autoresizing-mask UI is back in Interface Builder for Auto Layout setups. That is as hilarious as it is welcome.
FOUR YEARS it’s taken them to realize that maybe having Auto Layout and autoresizing masks coexisting in a xib could be convenient.
My iPhone shouting white noise at me every time an app tried to make sound, until I rebooted. Beta 8 is a keeper.
But the article doesn’t mention that, like last time, this probably affected new installs only, not updates, thanks to Gatekeeper.
I guess whenever you download a popular open-source app from the web you should quarantine the binary for a week and set a Google alert.
Can’t change accounts in the Apple Store app on iOS. I scheduled my Genius Bar appointment on my work account so can’t access it 🙄
The new wireless AirPods will then become the new status symbol while the white EarPods will seem dated.
