Hi! My name is Cédric Bozzi, I make websites and iOS apps, and this is my blog about technology (mostly a Twitter archive, really).

Watch them rush an iPhone XSE to market before summer.

@ow:

TBH if you want people to upgrade maybe don’t make their phone run slower when it’s old bc they’ll be pissed when they find out

Did Mojave change the way windowed apps get activated when you switch desktops? It’s making me crazy with keeping keyboard focus on the full-screen browser when I’m switching away from it. Or did I just not use full-screen apps before?

Clever girl. Machine learning system being trained to convert images back and forth figured out how to cheat with steganography. [techcrunch.com]

@Freerunnering:

I don’t worry another tech company will beat Apple. I worry Apple chasing endless growth will implode the company’s ability to make sensible decisions.

You can’t grow endlessly, and Apple is already making more money than some countries!

@Freerunnering:

If you double an object every year, you get bigger than the earth sooner than you’d think.

If you keep trying to “grow” your profits every year. Eventually your target is to have more money than exists on earth.

This must be the fourth time I have to emergency-delete my Tinder account because I accidentally super-liked someone it would be embarrassing for me to super-like 🙄

@mgsiegler:

I mean what on earth is going on over at Apple? Not the bend thing, but creating such a page to explain the bend thing.

It’s like if Tim Cook went out of his way for no reason to say Apple’s earnings are off because of so many people replacing their batteries… [twitter.com]

when you visit a site you handed over 6 months ago and the client made some changes themselves

@alexhern:

The most depressing thing about the widespread belief that Facebook and Instagram spy on users with their mic for advertising is that no-one I know who believes it has actually responded by deleting those apps from their phones

@alexhern:

The lesson Facebook is taking from this can’t be healthy. “People already believe you are several times worse than you actually are, yet they carry on using your products anyway, so frankly, you may as well go hog wild on privacy abuses, because it clearly won’t scare them away”

@DaveWoodX:

I think a huge takeaway from today’s Apple announcement (putting iTunes movies and TV on Samsung TVs) is that tvOS is now effectively dead. At least for non-video apps. They just cut their possible customer base for the Apple TV in half. #tvosdev

I love having absolutely no clue which (probably legitimate) app is giving me this prompt every time I unlock my Mac.

@Souvir:

You NEED multi colorized brackets in your IDE, it will change your life!

That’s a weird way to notify me my account has been closed for inactivity

@alexhern:

Kids were more likely to rack up huge bills on their parents credit cards if the game presented the most expensive items first. Not just because it’s in front of them, but also because the figures are so high that they don’t think they’re real money.

@MathnSkating:

Harassment for using phones is real. I look at my phone out of habit, even while using VoiceOver. Because it’s a habit to look at the object I’m interacting with.

I’ve been screamed at, physically hit, and had my picture taken without permission for using my phone in public. [twitter.com]

@Carnage4Life:

iPhone revenue down 15% year over year while services revenue up 19%. Apple’s revenue growth now dependent on rent seeking with its 30% cut of IAPs & charging you for iCloud storage.

These aren’t customer-centric incentives versus selling more phones 🤔[9to5mac.com]
