And, since I was on a wikipedia spree on monochrome monitors, did you know that one of the advantages of green and amber monitors over white is that longer persistence allows them to smooth out the 50/60Hz flicker, making them more comfortable to the eye? That smear when text scrolled by — it’s a feature, not a bug!
