My MacBook Pro has a *fun little quirk* where it detects the external monitor, arranges the windows accordingly, and neglects to actually send a signal to the monitor. Sometimes I just need to wait, sometimes I need to fiddle with menus and wires for five minutes before it’ll work properly. And it’s getting worse with time.
My monitor’s fine; I tried a different cable; it happens on USB and HDMI ports so I doubt it’s a hardware issue.
And I’m not alone 😡
