Oops. I just found out that Photoshop doesn’t naturally take several minutes to load: it’s because I have ObjectDock running. It doesn’t make any kind of sense, but I can confirm it’s true.

If I don’t find a workaround, bye bye my pretty PNG icons. That’s not good, because the taskbar is on the left edge of my desktop, and any edge is too far anyway when you’re running 3840x1024.

P.S. It also seems that ObjectDock makes games slow. (Which I never realized because I harly ever play.) I was surprised how slow Pristontale was on my high-end and -price video card; I’ll have to do some testing.

P.S. As chance would have it, it looks like ObjectDock 1.02, which was just released today1 fixes those bugs. Pristontale is much prettier in high resolution an with details at the maximum. And much more pleasant when the camera instaneously reacts to the mouse moves. Hurray for my Matrox card. (Well, except for not being able to visit There again before it closes, because the beast is so poorly programmed it only works with half a dozen different video cards.)

1: When you read it this way, it looks like a weird coincidence, the kind of sign I liked to find at a time when I was looking for some, but it isn’t. I only found out about those incompatibilities as I was looking for information about version 1.02, which wasn’t advertised anywhere on Stardock on Wincustomize.
