It’s so weird and sad to see just how much a company can forget about even pretending to care about its users. Spotify is a European company; they were never gonna get away with bricking every Car Thing they sold (and how many is that? a hundred?) without offering refunds — but no, they just *had* to burn the good will of customers who cared enough about the service to buy a physical device, only to inevitably walk it back five days later 🤦

Though Spotify never shared official numbers, it’s likely that Car Thing underperformed or was just not worth continued investment in today’s tighter economic market.
