I’m grumbling because I’ll always be sore that Applescript was deprecated in favor of worse and worse alternatives, but I appreciate how this rumor makes it sound like Apple is going at it the right way around: exposing app functionality via a specific API instead of the incredibly wasteful and unreliable “have the AI read and operate the UI on screen” that people have been touting / predicting / announcing over the past year.

It's a simple as registering for free to an RSS aggregator (Feedly, NewsBlur, Inoreader, …) and adding www.ff00aa.com to your feeds (or www.garoo.net if you want to subscribe to all my topics). We don't need newsletters, and we don't need Twitter; RSS still exists.
