Sea of Stars (PC) —
This very much feels like a “if you don’t like this, you’ll never like JRPGs” kind of game. I like the story, the design, the world, the characters; everything is nicely polished, and combat timing keeps you involved. But I still don’t enjoy it, and every encounter is a chore — except bosses, which are either exciting or discouraging. I’m playing with the story mode token enabled, and still got stuck on a mini-boss that leaves me wondering how on earth anyone could succeed with the normal amount of health.
So. It’s very good, and I don’t enjoy it.
